Another important structure is the Nestor Saenz Store. The building is another example of Enrique Portscheller's work. Note the owner's name on molded brick in the northern cornice work, as well as the intricate brick detail along the door openings. The brick sidewalk is a fine example of a restored banqueta. The Saenz store had direct access to the wharf area, just below Juarez Ave., where the steam boats anchored.
